The number of sessions varies with ink color, density, size and skin type. Most clients need five to twelve treatments spaced six to twelve weeks apart. A consultation provides a personalized estimate and timeline based on your tattoo's specifics.
Treatment causes brief stinging or snapping sensations; discomfort levels depend on location and individual tolerance. We offer topical numbing, cooling devices, and session pacing to minimize pain. Aftercare with cold packs and analgesics further reduces post-treatment soreness.
Most colors respond, but black and dark greens clear fastest. Reds, blues, and yellows may require specialized wavelengths and additional sessions. Some ink pigments, like certain bright greens and pastels, are more challenging or resistant but can often be significantly faded.
We review your medical history, examine the tattoo, and assess skin type and pigment. Expect a discussion of realistic outcomes, estimated sessions, pricing, and pre- and post-care instructions. Patch testing may be performed to determine optimal laser settings.
Initial healing takes about seven to fourteen days; redness, swelling, and scabbing are common. Avoid sun exposure and follow aftercare to prevent infection and pigment changes. Complete pigment clearance occurs gradually over weeks as the body eliminates fragmented ink.
Possible risks include temporary hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation, blistering, scarring, and infection. Risks are reduced with proper technique, pre-screening, and post-care. We explain individualized risk based on skin tone and tattoo characteristics during consultation.
